Hundreds of thousands of people protested in the streets of the nation’s capital on January 13, 2024 to end the siege on Gaza after nearly 100 days of mass death and destruction.

100 long days and the people of the world keep turning out in streets across the globe in historic and recording-breaking numbers in support of Palestine and the Palestinian people.

Since 10/7, 100,000 Palestinians have been killed, reported missing, or wounded per Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor. Entire families and bloodlines have been wiped out. New terms have been coined to identify unimaginable situations: WCNSF (wounded child, no surviving family).

1.9 million people, 90% of the population of Gaza, is displaced. Gaza’s infrastructure has been destroyed. Hospitals, schools, churches, and mosques have been attacked. The people of Gaza are starving and facing mass death by hunger and disease. There is no safe place in Gaza — people have been attacked and bombed everywhere.

We are witnessing one of the worst humanitarian crises of the 21st century play out in real-time on our phones.

Now, the typical smoke and mirrors for the crimes against the Palestinian people are no longer working. People see through the propaganda and lies. They see that the statements issued about security and protecting civilians do not match the actions of ethnic cleansing and complete destruction.

As a result, the outrage machine is working overtime to distract. And enablers of this system are losing their shit — saying the most unhinged things and showing themselves for who they are and what they truly believe.

I’ve never seen folks burn through goodwill and reputations that took years to build so quickly to not only 1) be on the wrong side of history, but to 2) be on the wrong side of a genocide.

And to take on an unpopular political position when the polls are crystal clear — a ceasefire is the popular position, and that has been consistent for months.

The polls are also clear that Biden is unpopular and not a good choice for the Democratic nominee for President — his polling is at a record low for his presidency and for any president in the last 15 years.

Keep talking about Gaza. Keep posting about what is happening — it makes a difference. It raises awareness of what is happening, and it gives someone else courage to do the same.

Palestine will live forever. Palestine will be free.
